We are glad to share the crowdfunding campaign “Glow with the flow” about menstrual empowerment.

Hilo Sagrado is a colombian NGO working to empower the Wayuú community. For the women of the Wayúu indigenous community, conventional period products are expensive and hard to find. Instead of pads, women are forced to stay at home for the whole of their cycle.

In the project Glow with the Flow, Hilo Sagrado will be building a new community workshop and teaching 16 women how to make reusable period panties. This will bring an initial 174 women access to sustainable menstrual products and will also generate another source of income for Wayúu families.

But Hilo Sagrado needs your help! By donating to the crowdfunding campaign today or buying their Wayúu artisanal products, you can help bring these communities one step closer to gender equality and help these women turn their periods into a source of power and pride.
